调息法就是对呼吸的控制和延续,也称为呼吸控制发。通过调息法的练习,我们可以获得对生命能量的控制,使神经系统安静下来,平息大脑的活动,是注意力更加集中,是身体和大脑产生宁静广阔的感觉,有助于机体内在潜藏的精神能量的唤醒。

正确的调息法能增加氧气的吸入量,进化血液,并提高肺活量、肺功能。它还可以增进人体消化器官的活动,对内分泌腺的分泌活动产生影响,并且消除疲劳、减轻焦虑、改善精神面貌。
